Events and Arts Partnerships Coordinator

Market Enginuity is looking for an EVENTS AND ARTS PARTNERSHIPS COORDINATOR to support our team at KCRW in Santa Monica.

At Market Enginuity, we connect marketers with the Public Media audience to benefit stations, producers, sponsors and audiences.

For over 18 years we’ve increased our contributions, building the largest integrated media team in the country that specializes in traditional and digital corporate sponsorship sales for podcast producers and public radio and television stations. We’re looking for an Events and Arts Partnerships Coordinator to:

  • Coordinate and manage sponsorship events & special projects
  • Assist in managing Arts Partnerships and related deliverables
  • Identify and make initial contact with prospective trade partners whose in-kind support can be leveraged for KCRW Sponsorship Sales
  • Provide general department support

Under the guidance and supervision of the Director of Corporate Support at KCRW, the primary function for this position is to support the execution of KCRW Sponsorship events, arts partnerships and other sponsor trade agreements.

Success Outcome #1: Help drive non-traditional revenue for the station by executing Sponsor events and activations

  • Assist in determining opportunities for sponsors at specific KCRW events and facilitate Sponsor activations
  • Coordinate event sponsorship details and logistics with internal cross-functional teams and clients
  • Serve as client representative/advocate with internal teams and insure that all contractual obligations are met including signage, social media, lead generation activities, etc.
  • Attend events to execute on-site activation and deliverables as required
  • Create and distribute event summary reports/post event analysis

Success Outcome #2: Manage and maintain Arts and Trade partnerships to help realize and maximize mutually-beneficial opportunities

  • Assist the Sales Team by providing excellent customer service to our Partners throughout the life-cycle of their agreement with KCRW.
  • Create and maintain partnership and trade documents
  • Create and orchestrate a system to track client assets due, due dates, approvals and delivery.
  • Secure Partner assets (on-air copy, digital assets)
  • Assess whether or not assets are compliant with FCC guidelines and other guidelines/specifications set by KCRW
  • Assist in spot copy writing and editing as needed so that spots comply with FCC copy guidelines and other guidelines/specifications set by KCRW
  • Deliver approved assets to KCRW's On-Air and Digital Traffic Teams
  • Fulfill requests for on-air and digital campaign reports
  • Fulfill requests for mp3s, airchecks, invoices, billing statements
  • Secure, track and manage traded deliverables (logos, tickets, etc.)
  • Identify and make initial contact with prospective trade partners whose in-kind support can be leveraged for KCRW Sponsorship Sales
  • Maintain and manage restaurant trade log
  • Maintain and manage other trade partnerships

Success Outcome #3: In conjunction with other members of the operations team, enable our Account Executives to set more meetings, create more proposals, and generate more revenue for our station!

  • Coordinate client invitations and manage responses for KCRW events
  • Coordinate updates of marketing materials with Creative Services
  • Make sure all new marketing and events materials are stored in S Drive
  • Other projects as assigned

Key Qualities and Skills You Possess:

  • A minimum 2+ years of experience in events coordination. Work experience in media industry preferred
  • College coursework or degree in Marketing, Communications, Business preferred
  • Excellent demonstrated organizational and project management skills
  • Strong to expert level computer skills, specifically MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Analytical and detail oriented, with the ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communicator
  • Flexibility and ability to multi-task in fast paced environment
