It's worth remembering that the term "feelgood" grew out of the drug culture. First it was geelgood doctors dispensing amphetamines, then feelgood films dispensing formulaic good cheer and sure-fire happy endings. But a really good film like Buck, a debut documentary by Cindy Meehl, does much more than serve as a drug substitute.
