David Karp writes the Market Watch column for the Los Angeles Times, where he has written about Sacramento's attempts at regulating Farmers Markets. After an expose last year which revealed widespread fraud at LA-are farmers markets, the California Department of Food and Agriculture held listening sessions around the state. After talk of raising the vendor fees to pay for more inspections, nothing was ultimately done.
