Earlier this week at the All Things Digital Conference, Ari Emanuel-- uber agent and head of the talent agency WME spoke out about online piracy. He framed it as a division between Southern and Northern California - that is, the content creators in Hollywood and the Internet search providers in Silicon Valley. He acknowledges that Hollywood studios didn't handle the SOPA (Stop Online Piracy) ACT well at all but he seemed to indicate that companies like Google could be doing more to block piracy than they already are.
