Composer Alexandre Desplat ()
What do Argo, Zero Dark Thirty, Moonrise Kingdom, Rise of the Guardians and Rust and Bone have in common? Composer Alexandre Desplat. He wrote the music for these and a few more films this year. He talks with The Business producer Darby Maloney about his love of this lonely work he does, and how the greatest moment of joy is when he stands in front of the musicians to conduct and hears the music that until that point has only been in his head. He also weighs in on the value of awards.

IMDB Founder ()
Col Needham is a self-professed movie geek. From an early age he would watch films multiple times and keep a detailed log of what he seen and related information. That pen and paper document morphed into a computer list which was the antecedent to the Internet Movie Database. IMDb is an industry tool as well as a fan site. And in recent years it's generated some controversy. Last year an actress sued it for abetting ageism in the industry. Others have complained that it doesn't maintain accurate information. Despite this, nearly everyone relies heavily on IMDB.
