Jennifer Westfeldt: Friends with Kids

Jennifer Westfeldt almost didn't finish her latest film, Friends with Kids, in time to screen for audiences at last year's Toronto International Film Festival. But despite shooting during one of the worst winters in New York in recent history, all the baby-wrangling on the set and last minute technical glitches, her cast and crew pulled together to deliver the finished product on time. Originally a theatre actress struggling off Broadway, Westfeldt recounts several instances of stumbling upon success as a film and television actress, a writer and, now, as a director. She talks to Elvis about the artist's retreat she takes every summer, and her need to explore the boundaries of human relationships through her filmmaking.
