Tickets to one of the most anticipated music events of the year go on sale to members on August 22 and the general public on September 4.
Summer may be coming to an end but at KCRW the party is starting – this fall, KCRW’s signature music event A Sounds Eclectic Evening is back.
Spanning three continents and a kaleidoscope of sound, this year’s line up is as eclectic as it gets with Canadian singer k.d. lang, UK rockers The Duke Spirit and the Argentine-Uruguayan collective Bajofondo set to take the stage. More artists will be announced in the coming months and, as always, be prepared for some surprises.
k.d. lang is an unparalleled performer with an emotional depth and warmth that has attracted a substantial audience throughout her career, as well as multiple Grammy wins. The Duke Spirit, led by the beautiful and self-assured Leila Moss, have grabbed the rock gauntlet with hook-filled anthemic songs. Bajofondo is known best for taking the traditional music of their ancestors – tango – and fusing it with electronic music, giving it a modern twist and creating a spectacular collage of sounds. How do I purchase tickets?
Tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster. All KCRW Member Pre-sale tickets (at all levels) & all Platinum level tickets must be purchased online. After the KCRW Member Pre-sale, Gold, Silver, Preferred and Reserved tickets can be purchased through all Ticketmaster retail outlets, by phone at 213-480-3232, or in person at the Gibson Amphitheatre box office (hours: Monday -Saturday, 1pm-8:30p)
When do tickets go on-sale?
KCRW Members-Only Presale: Fri. August 22 @ 10AM. - Tues. September 3 @ 10PM
General Public On-Sale: Thurs. September 4 @ 10AM.
How much are tickets?
Platinum level ticket-holders ($325): Premiere Seating + Backstage Party
Gold level ticket-holders ($150): Premiere Seating

How many tickets can I purchase?
There is an 8 ticket limit per household.
When does the Skybox auction take place?
The Skybox auction will begin on Wednesday, August 20th at 10am and will end on Tuesday, September 9th at 10am.

How can I find my KCRW member number?
If you are a current KCRW member, your 5 or 6-digit member number appears above your name on KCRW mailings such as the monthly newsletter, The Guide. Or, if you have a Fringe Benefits card, the number appears above your name. If you cannot locate your member number, please call KCRW Membership between 10am and 5pm, Monday - Friday at 310-314-4635.
How can I subscribe or renew in order to purchase tickets?
You may subscribe or renew online in order to become eligible to purchase tickets during the KCRW Member Pre-sale. You will receive your ASEE pass code in the form of a confirmation immediately once you submit your donation.
Where do the proceeds go?
Proceeds from the event support KCRW’s music programming.
What happens after I order my tickets?
Once you submit your ticket order, you will be sent a confirmation email within five minutes from Ticketmaster confirming your order and seat assignments.
When will I get my tickets?
All Platinum ($325) tickets purchased before September 19th will be shipped the week of Sept 22nd.
Please note: Platinum ticket packages will include tickets, party and parking information.
Tickets at the $150, $100, $75, $60 and $40 levels will be sent within a week of purchase.
What can I do if I am having trouble placing my order online?
If you are a current KCRW member and are unable to complete your order online due to technical problems, please call the Gibson Amphitheatre charge line at Ticketmaster at 213-252-8497. Live customer service agents are available 9am to 7pm, 7 days a week. You can also reach Ticketmaster customer service by email. Please reference the name of the event in the email subject line.
May I have my tickets left at Will Call instead of having them mailed?
No. Tickets will not be left at will call unless they are purchased less than 10 days before the event. Tickets held at will call can only be picked up the day of the event after 5:45pm.
Where is will call located?
Will call is located near the front entrance of the Gibson Amphitheatre at the Universal City Walk.
Where can I see a seating chart?
A general seating chart for the Gibson Amphitheatre will be available at Ticketmaster.com as you purchase tickets. Your section, row, and seats will be confirmed during the purchase process. To access a seating chart once your order is completed, click here.
Can I have my tickets mailed to an address other than my billing address?
No. All tickets must be mailed to your credit card billing address.
What if I don't receive my tickets by mail?
All Platinum ($325) tickets purchased before September 19th will be shipped the week of September 22nd. If you have not received your Platinum ($325) tickets by September 29th, or your $150, $100, $75, $60 or $40 within a week of purchase, please contact the Gibson Amphitheatre charge line at Ticketmaster: 213-252-8497.
Can I add to my order?
No. There is a 8 ticket limit per household for this event.
Once I place an order, can I change the credit card number to be billed?
Unfortunately, once an order is processed, we cannot change the credit card number.
Can I cancel my order?
No. All seats are final. No refunds or exchanges.
What's included in the backstage party?
Cocktails and appetizers will be served before, during and after the show on the Gibson Amphitheatre's backstage patio. Food and spirits catered by: Angeli, Artisan Cheese Gallery, Good Food Catering, Valerie Confections, Silverlake Wine, Craftsman Brewing Company, Pazzo Gelato, Icelandic Glacial water, Intelligentsia Coffee & Tea and a hosted bar featuring Absolut Pears.
How can I go to the backstage party?**
In order to attend the backstage party, you must purchase Platinum level tickets ($325).
**Please note: there is no front concourse party tent; to be included in backstage festivities, please purchase Platinum level tickets.
What time will a specific artist go on?
Because of the number of artists and special guests, we are unable to make set times available.
Is the ticket price tax deductible?
Some tickets are partially tax-deductible. The portion of your ticket purchase price that exceeds the fair market value of the event is tax-deductable. For more information, please contact the KCRW Membership Department between 10AM and 5PM (Pacific), Monday – Friday at 310-314-4635.
