Latin Alternative Music Conference 2009
Latin Alternative Music Conference 2009
KCRW at LAMC
"The Latin Alternative Music Conference (LAMC) has taken a sound that was always considered underground and helped it become a global force in music and receive the respect it deserves. KCRW is one of few radio stations to play Latin Alternative music so we’ve been on this journey together. It's an exciting time as we celebrate the 10th anniversary of LAMC, which has been instrumental in pushing this sound forward and to the masses. I've been fortunate and honored to have hosted and MC'd the conference for the last few years. The hustle and bustle of NYC is like no other, but when these few days are in effect, it's definitely on a different level! Growing up with this sound and seeing some of these bands blossom has been a real treat and the opportunity to deejay on the Central Park stage with acts like Cafe Tacuba, Julieta Venegas and countless others has truly been a dream come true for me."
