This Halloween weekend, KCRW plays host to our 2nd annual Masquerade Costume Ball at the Legendary Park Plaza. Explore your inner ghoul in style with five uniquely themed rooms, dance to music on four stages by 14 KCRW DJs, lose yourself in the wild wonderworld of Vaudeville circus troupe Lucent Dossier, and dine at a handful of frightfully tasty artisan food trucks.

Master turntablist Cut Chemist has not spun a full set in L.A. since the release of his new album “Sound of the Police.” It’s one of the most celebrated recordings at KCRW this year and Masquerade is the place to hear it live, as the innovative DJ explores the roots of hip hop with a mix of Ethiopian, Colombian, Sudanese and Afro-Brazilian sounds.

Brit rockers The Duke Spirit will deliver a powerful, punky, energetic set that is sure to wake the dead. Led by the take-no-prisoners smolder of singer Liela Moss, the band will cast their spell and satisfy all musical urges -- from dirty blues to sexy, soulful rock’n’roll -- with a sizzling set of songs both new and old.

Gram Rabbit have built a passionate following for their high-energy live performances – particularly on Halloween. Described by fans as “Gwen Stefani meets DEVO,“ they concoct an electro-funk mixture with devilish allure and a cool vibe straight from the desert landscape of Joshua Tree. They create a dance party everywhere they go, and Masquerade will be no different!

Fourteen KCRW DJs on the turntables, including Jason Nosferatu Bentley, Henry Hellfire Rollins, Raul The Ghoul Campos, Anne Diva of Death Litt, Chris Who's Your Mummy Douridas, Liza Mad Doll Richardson, Jeremy Dr. Funkenstein Sole, Tom Cryptkeeper Schnabel, Mathieu Le Petit Vampire Schreyer, Eric J. Werewolf Lawrence, Anthony Voodoo Valadez, Dan Blood Sucker Wilcox, Mario The Maniac Cotto, and Valida The Vicious Vixen.
