KCRW SUMMER NIGHTS in OC
FREE SUMMER MUSIC

Saturday, September 12
9pm – 11:30pm

FOR ONE NIGHT ONLY, DANCE TO LIVE DJ SETS BY KCRW’S MUSIC DIRECTOR JASON BENTLEY AND KCRW DJ JEREMY SOLE, AS WELL AS A RARE LIVE PERFORMANCE BY SOLE’S “MUSAICS” ENSEMBLE OF ALL STAR MUSICIANS.

Jeremy Sole will open the night at 9pm with a DJ set before inviting a dream team of local musicians (members have performed with TV on the Radio, Quantic Soul Orchestra, Mos Def, Raphael Saadiq) to the stage for a live band performance as “Musaics.” Sampling drum loops from vintage world music records and layering original compositions, Jeremy’s live project juxtaposes elements of Afrobeat, Cumbia, Highlife, Jazz, Dub and experimental beats. Morning Becomes Eclectic host Jason Bentley will close out the evening at 11:30pm.

Bring your dancing shoes & see you there.

Drinks and food will be available for purchase at Leatherby’s Café Rouge (adjacent to the community plaza).  Patina will also be on hand, with a bar on the plaza, providing drinks and light bites for sale.

Events are held at the Center’s Community Plaza, Costa Mesa
