KCRW teams up with Tourism Australia to bring you two great events exploring the essence of Down Under.

Defined by its Aboriginal heritage, vibrant mix of cultures, and the great outdoors, Australia is rich in tradition, yet on the cutting-edge of food and music.

Although the Daniel Merriweather and Good Food Live events are sold out, there’s still a chance to experience the best of Australia music, travel and culture, with free open to the public events from 10:30am – 3:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday.

Jason Bentley hosts a live performance from Melbourne artist Daniel Merriweather

We are happy to welcome you to KCRW’s special music showcase on Saturday, January 16th.  This afternoon concert is hosted by KCRW Music Director, Jason Bentley, and features a live performance by talented Australian artist Daniel Merriweather.  It all takes place on the roof-top of The Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills.

This event is outdoors and standing room only.  You will need your tickets to check in, and I.D. indicating that you are over 21, if you wish to sample wine and beer.

The roof-top opens to ticketed guests at 3:00pm.  Come early and enjoy a hosted beer and wine bar. The live performance takes place from 4:00pm sharp to 5:00pm. 

Check-in begins at 1:00pm – you’re invited to arrive early to enjoy Tourism Australia’s ‘Australia Week’ free day-long activities.

The Paley Center for Media is located at 465 North Beverly Drive in Beverly Hills. http://www.paleycenter.org

Parking:  Public parking is available across the street from The Paley Center for Media, next to Crate & Barrel on Beverly and throughout the neighborhood.  Please note, parking is not available at the Paley Center.

KCRW’s Good Food Live!

We are happy to welcome you to KCRW’s Good Food - Live! this Sunday, January 17th.  This very special event features Evan Kleiman and Australian chef, Curtis Stone for a rooftop cooking demonstration at The Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills.  They’ll be joined by fish expert Peter Evans, mixologist Gus McShane and wine aficionado James Gosper.

This event is outdoors and standing room only.  You will need your tickets to check in, and I.D. indicating that you are over 21, if you wish to sample wine and beer.

The roof-top opens to ticketed guests at 2:30pm.  The culinary showcase takes place from 3:00pm to 4:00pm.  Complimentary beer, wine, a special cocktail and light bites are available during the post-show reception from 4:00pm - 5:00pm.
