JOIN KCRW'S WORD OF MOUTH CAMPAIGN!

Word of mouth is the best form of advertising – friends telling friends what's hot and what's not. We want to harness word of mouth using the irrepressible creativity of KCRW's listeners to spread the KCRW love and expand our world of supporters.

HOW DO YOU PARTICIPATE?
  1. Make an audio spot to play online and possibly run on the radio
  2. Make a video that could go viral online


Produce a spot that you write, perform and mix with music. It could be anything from a puppet show to a personal, off the cuff message about who you are and why you think people need to support KCRW. Don't worry - we've got ways for even the technologically challenged to get involved!! All we ask is that you:

  1. Tell us who you are
  2. Ask others to support KCRW
  3. Give KCRW's phone number and URL: 800-600-KCRW or kcrw.com/join
  4. Keep spots short (under a minute if you want to hear them on air)


The deadline is December 31st.  We'll use the best messages (under :60) on-air in January.  We can’t wait to hear from you!!

 
 
SUBMITTING YOUR SPOT IS EASY!

You can submit your spot as audio or video.  There are three ways to submit:

  1. Soundcloud (for audio submissions)
  2. YouTube (for video submissions)
  3. As an attachment to an email
 
 
SOUNDCLOUD
(for audio submissions)
  1. Create the audio using any tools you like or record directly onto the Soundcloud site!
  2. Click here to access the KCRW Soundcloud site
  3. Upload
  4. Share your message with friends on Facebook, Twitter...or wherever!
  5. KCRW may use it on-air!

(for video submissions)
  1. Log in with your YouTube account (or create one, it's free)
  2. Click here to view the KCRW Word of Mouth video
  3. Click the comment box under "View comments, related videos, and more" and then click on video response
  4. Follow directions to upload your video response
  5. Share your message with friends on Facebook, Twitter...or wherever!
  6. KCRW may use it on our site or Facebook page!

EMAIL

While the other methods are preferred, if you would rather just email your audio or video spot to KCRW please send it to wordofmouth@kcrw.com (maximum recommended attachment is 3MB)

Create your spot on your smartphone, computer, home studio or on 8mm film!   Have fun, share your passion for KCRW and make a difference!

NOTE: KCRW will edit all submissions before they air.  By submitting audio or video, you are agreeing to these terms.
