Sa Dingding

Host:

alive.jpgRising Chinese superstar musician Sa Dingding is Tom's guest from 2-2:30 pm. Born in Mongolia to a Chinese father and a Mongolian mother, she started singing Mongolian folk songs at the age of five. She later fell in love with the music of Peter Gabriel, Bjork, and Deep Forrest. She moved to Shanghai to record her first album, Alive, which has charted in over 20 countries. A multi-million seller in China alone, her album is due out in the US on July 29 on Wrasse Records, licensed from Universal China.

Sa Dingding embraces a variety of styles, and her CD was lavishly produced.  She has her eye on the West, and is bound to be a young artist that we will hear more from.
