WOODY GUTHRIE: HARD TRAVELIN' a three-hour, three-part music documentary that tells the inspiring story of one of America-s greatest folksingers. It was Guthrie who, in the 1930-s and 1940-s, transformed the folk ballad into a vehicle for social protest and observation. His experiences hitch-hiking across the country during the Great Depression provided source material for his songs and instilled a lifelong commitment to radical politics.
