Tinariwen formed as a collective of Tuareg musicians from the Sahara desert. On their latest release,

Tassili, they return to their roots, setting aside their electric guitars in favor of acoustic guitars and unamplified percussion. They've also invited heavyweights Nels Cline (of Wilco) and members of Dirty Dozen Brass Band to collaborate. Today's Top Tune features another talented musician, Kyp Malone of TV on the Radio, on guitar and vocals. It's "

    Iswegh Attay."
