Portland-based Y La Bamba craft folk art into psychedelic swirling songs. The ethereal sound of Luz Elena Mendoza's voice is captivating -- whether she's singing in English or Spanish -- and caught the ear of Los Lobos' Steve Berlin who quickly got on board to produce their sophomore release.
