FROM THIS EPISODE

When Tucker Martine first started to work with Laura Viers, they traded tracks from favorite lesser-known artists, and Karl Blau was one of them. As the years passed, Karl worked with them on many projects, but when he heard Tom T. Hall's song, "That's How I Got to Memphis," he decided to take a crack at his own version, which sparked Introducing Karl Blau, an album of covers that includes that song, as well as tunes by Townes Van Zandt, Barry & Robin Gibbs and Link Wray. Here's "How I Got to Memphis."
