Carl Chu is the author of the self-published Finding Chinese Food in Los Angeles: A Guide to Regional Chinese Cuisines. He spoke about Ah Chung restaurant, on the second floor of the San Gabriel Square, at 140 W Valley in San Gabriel. The restaurant's signature dish is oyster noodle soup which comes with a couple of small oysters and noodles. He also spoke about their Taiwanese street snacks, including Taiwanese tempura, which is fried fish cakes and chicken nuggets.
