FROM THIS EPISODE

It may come as a surprise, but Southern California's hospitals generate a LOT of waste… millions of gallons of raw sewage every day.  That sewage is treated at big waste-water treatment plants … converted to clean water, and then sent into a stream or directly to the Pacific. But scientists with the Environmental Protection Agency now say they've found a lethal superbug – the same one that caused outbreaks at UCLA and two other LA-area hospitals – in one of those sewage treatments plants. What does that mean for you?
