Last week, Orange County's most anticipated criminal trial in years began as the Orange County District Attorney's Office opened its case against Fullerton police officers Manuel Ramos and Jay Cicinelli. They're accused of killing homeless man Kelly Thomas, with Ramos facing a felony and Cicinelli misdemeanor charges. In a rare move, OC DA Tony Rackauckas is personally arguing the trial. Opposing him is legendary defense attorney John Barnett, who represented one of the officers in the Rodney King beating. Will OC jurors see the case Rackauckas' way or will they side with the officers' version of the killing?
