#MuteRKelly pushes companies to cut ties with the R&B singer 7 MIN, 42 SEC

R. Kelly still performs at big concerts, and is still represented by major record label RCA, even though he’s accused of running an abusive sex cult, and was indicted on multiple counts of child pornography. The online campaign #MuteRKelly wants to change that. It pressured a Chicago venue to cancel an R. Kelly concert. The artist’s management called it “a public lynching of a black man who has made extraordinary contributions to our culture.”
