FROM THIS EPISODE

Finding the drama in real-life figures. Documentary director Alex Gibney Alex Gibney (Taxi to The Dark Side, Enron: The Smartest Guys in The Room) has done that with several films, including his newest, , Client 9: The Rise and Fall of Eliot Spitzer.

Gibney reflects on society's refusal to accept responsibility and its abuses of power as documentary subjects, his "Gatsby obsession," his use of music and theatrical approach to documentary making. He also discusses working with Eliot Spitzer --  former New York State Attorney General and "Sheriff of Wall Street" – as well as getting the collaboration of Spitzer's enemies to participate in the documentary, all of whom were "keen to dance on his grave."
