In Iraq, there-s been more violence today-four days before the polls are scheduled to open, but despite efforts to stop the voting, election preparations continue. Christopher Allbritton, who is in Baghdad for Time magazine, has an update on the mood in Iraq as we approach Sunday's election.

Heads of state, prominent Jews, death camp survivors and liberators gathered today in icy weather at Auschwitz, near Krakow, Poland, where more than a million people were killed during the Holocaust. The ceremony, marking the 60th anniversary of the liberation of the Nazi death camp, was said to have an air of urgency because those who survived are dying out. Alexander Schwabe attended the service for Germany's Speigel Online.
