FROM THIS EPISODE

Vice President Cheney said today the US and other nations are sending a message: "We will not allow Iran to have a nuclear weapon." Iran has offered to suspend full-scale nuclear fuel enrichment for two years, if it's allowed to continue research with a "pilot project." In Vienna this week, the International Atomic Energy Agency is trying to decide if Iran should be referred to the UN Security Council for possible sanctions. The US and Europe insist that there is to be no enrichment at all; China and Russia are calling for compromise. Is confrontation the best way to deal with Iran? Would constructive engagement better serve America's interests? If Iran's defiance continues, is there a military option?
