FROM THIS EPISODE

Mass shooters often use guns equipped with high-capacity magazines, so they don't have to stop and re-load. This week, the LA City Council voted unanimously to ban magazines that hold more than 10 rounds. It's not really gun control, but advocates see momentum in that direction. Gun-rights groups see a threat to self-protection. Will it have any impact within -- or beyond -- city limits?

Also, as California's drought continues, US Senator Dianne Feinstein is finally heard from. We compare her proposals to those passed by Congress.

Gun magazines holding more than 10 rounds can't be manufactured in California. It's illegal to sell them or bring them into the state, but possession is not prohibited. On Tuesday, the LA City Council voted unanimously to impose a ban on possession within city limits. Paul Krekorian represents the East San Fernando Valley, and he authored the measure.
