FROM THIS EPISODE

There’s been one death, many buildings destroyed and hundreds of thousands of evacuations today in Southern California. About twelve major fires are burning from the high desert to the Pacific Ocean, and some fire crews have been delayed in their work rescuing residents who refused to leave their homes.

Main Topic Southern California Wildfires

Yesterday, the worst of the fires was in the Malibu area, and that’s where Governor Schwarzenegger went today to declare disasters in Los Angeles and six other Southern California counties. We’ll get an update from San Diego County, where at least 250,000 people have been evacuated from homes, hospitals and nursing homes. San Diego County appears to be hardest hit with officials warning that the flames could reach to the sea.
