When you think of industries that have shaped California, things like entertainment, hi-tech, aerospace and agriculture probably come to mind. Zócalo Public Square columnist Joe Mathews says there's another one that shouldn't be forgotten, though -- golf. But golf and some golf courses have hit hard times recently. Mathews says some should be converted to other uses, and that others will have to reinvent themselves to stay relevant in a changing California.
