Hurricane Todd

Missouri congressman and Senate hopeful Todd Akin's ideas on abortion in cases of rape dominated the political conversation this week. Pretty much the last thing GOP strategists could've wished for.  And at a moment when the Romney campaign was just hitting its stride on the issues it wants to talk about: the cost of Obamacare and a lagging economy.  By week's end Romney had unveiled his energy plan and if his campaign had meant to take back the conversation, they weren't entirely successful.  Now comes news that next week's GOP convention in Tampa may be fighting for airtime with another cable news staple: Hurricane Isaac is predicted to make landfall in Florida at about the same time delegates start gathering in Tampa.
