Is there Wi-Fi in the City of LA's future?  Students of the Internet say it's inevitable.  Mayor Villaraigosa is pushing it hard. Also, it's official: California's presidential primaries will be in February, next year.

CA Presidential Primary Officially Moved to February 5 ()

Governor Schwarzenegger has signed a new law moving California's presidential primaries up to February the 5 of next year. The early primaries are supposed to give the biggest state in the union more political clout than it's had for decades. Michael Semler is Professor of Political Science at California State University, Sacramento.

Is It Time for All of Us to Just Link Up? ()

Mayor Villagraigosa wants Wi-Fi for all of Los Angeles, so even the poorest people could go on the Internet anywhere, any time. He says that low-cost, high-speed Internet access for everybody would close the digital divide, provide better access to government services, and keep LA on the cutting edge of the Information Age. Will it take off like it did in Philadelphia or run into roadblocks, as it has in tech-savvy San Francisco? Would it also turn the LAPD into Big Brother and disconnect people from other human beings?  We hear the pros and cons.
