Also tonight, in California and twenty-three other states a case of “unmitigated greed”: nineteen people indicted for cheating people out of their homes after promising protection from foreclosure.

Nineteen People Indicted in Massive Mortgage Fraud Case ()

From New York to California, FBI and IRS agents had the sad task of telling victims of mortgage fraud they’d lost their homes—to people who claimed they were protecting them from foreclosure. In Sacramento, federal prosecutors said 19 people have been indicted in a case of what the US Attorney calls “unmitigated greed.”
