Will Southern California Be Next?

In Northern California 13 fires have broken out in 72 hours. Homes and other structures have been destroyed, and evacuations are widespread. It’s hot, it’s windy and four firefighters, including a veteran captain, have been hospitalized with burns. On Reporter’s Notebook, California’s latest tourist attraction: same-sex marriage.

Same-Sex Wedding Season about to Begin ()

Starting next Tuesday, same sex couples will be allowed to marry in California - although both Kern and Butte Counties will stop performing marriages altogether, claiming they’ll be too expensive. There’s expected to be a run on clerks and recorders which could mean big money for local economies.
