Black Americans: Dreams and Realities

Barack Obama won 95% of the black vote in November, but African Americans are anything but unanimous on what his election will mean. We’ll hear differing views about race relations, national policy and role models. Also, Obama’s impact on Southern California.

Barack Obama declared that Dr. Martin Luther King’s birthday should begin a new tradition of service. Today, with the First-Lady-to-be, he surprised a group of volunteers in Washington, DC sending cards, letters and packages to troops serving overseas.
