Democrat Barbara Boxer's trying for a fourth term in the US Senate. Republican Carly Fiorina says that's too long. California's a blue state, but polls show the race between the liberal incumbent and her conservative challenger is virtually tied. Last night, in their first debate, they offered voters stark choices on the environment, women's rights, immigration, jobs and the economy.
