UCLA Tobacco Ban Puts LA Ahead of the Pack Last week, signs went up all over the campus in Westwood saying, " UCLA is a Tobacco Free Campus as of April 22: BREATH WELL ." Linda Sarna is a Professor of Nursing and chair of the Tobacco-Free Steering Committee. KCRW producer Evan George walked the campus this week, talking to students for and against the ban. Most did not want to provide their names, including some who were smoking behind bushes or in concealed campus-corners.
