New Study Reveals California Has a Full-Blown Diabetes Health Crisis A new UCLA study today on the rates of diabetes and prediabetes throughout the state of California is bad news for Californians. A majority of the state’s adults have prediabetes or diabetes and a third of young adults are prediabetic. These numbers spell trouble for the fiscal--and physical--health of Californians.
