Local Fallout from the Cut in Planned Parenthood Funding A few minutes ago, we heard about the backlash in favor of Planned Parenthood after the cutoff of funds by the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation. Seven California Komen affiliates are trying to get the national to change its policies. Both organizations have offices in California. We hear from the Komen office in San Diego and from Planned Parenthood for Orange and San Bernardino Counties. On a related note, Komen's executive director in Los Angeles County, Deb Anthony, has resigned from her position, but she is not saying it's about the Planned Parenthood flap. She says, after "several decisions" over the past year, "my skills and talents no longer fit their model."
