The Growing Ranks of California's Uninsured In the past two years, almost 2 million Californians lost their health insurance, a 25% increase. The total is now 8 million people, one-quarter of all residents over the age of 65. That's according to a study by the UCLA Center for Health Policy Research. We hear from health and hospital policy experts and the lead author of the UCLA study.
