State Parolees Headed for LA County This Weekend Los Angeles County will get the bulk of the inmates and parolees being released to ease overcrowding in state prisons, as ordered by federal courts. Since a process called "realignment," some 15,000 will be sent here, starting day after tomorrow. Governor Jerry Brown called realignment "the most viable way to comply" with the order. We hear about parolees to be supervised by the County Probation Department.
