City Hall Has Angelenos Feeding More to the Meter Drivers who park their cars on the streets of Los Angeles may be in for a rude surprise, unless they study the signs that govern the hours that parking meters are in effect. Forget about free parking after 6 in the evening; and extended hours aren't the only change. The cost has gone up from 25 cents an hour to a dollar and even more.
