Here’s where you can see A Christmas Story, A Wonderful Life, and Black Christmas this week in Los Angeles.
‘Tis the season for holiday movies, and in L.A. you don’t have to see these movies just anywhere, there are a number of small independent theaters, (and even a movie palace) that are screening holiday-themed flicks.
From classics such as A Christmas Story and It’s A Wonderful Life to more offbeat (and scary) Christmas movies such as Black Christmas and Christmas Evil, we’ve created a list that shows you where you can catch Christmassy films at some unique L.A. institutions this week.

Where: New Beverly Cinema; 7165 West Beverly Blvd. Los Angeles

2. Frozen
On this Tuesday’s DnA, Frances Anderton speaks with Michael Giaimo, the Art Director of Frozen about the art that was used in the making of Disney’s latest animated film.
And while you won’t have trouble finding theaters in L.A. that are screening Frozen, those looking for a unique way to see it ought to check out El Capitan Theater, one of L.A.’s historic movie palaces that Walt Disney Company owns and operates.
