What You Should Buy This Weekend from the Farmers’ Market:

Persian and American cucumbers from Millikin Family Farms with growing locations in Santa Barbara and the Coachella Valley. Great both fresh and pickled!

– Melons and sweet peppers grown by Tamai Family Farms in the Coachella Valley. Listen to Aja Tamai discuss her produce on this week’s Market Report.

The murrayberries from Murray Family Farms are only available for one more week. They are especially great for preserves and pie.

Fava and yellow wax beans from Valdivia Farms in Carlsbad. Growing beans in your home garden will naturally enrich your soil with nitrogen.
