I’ve been doing a lot of eating since I’ve been here in Bogota. Most of the dishes contain either plantains, cheese, sausage, corn, yucca and meat (beef or pork). Since this is a major city, there is a lot of food from other parts of the country, like fish from the Caribbean coast.
The other night we went to Andres Carne de Res, whose poetic name says it all. The restaurant itself, aside from the delicious food, is like one big Colombian party. Music blasts, people are dancing in between the tables, performers entertain diners and every half our or so, confetti falls. It’s something straight out of Garcia Marquez.
