Two Lawsuits over Private Videos Gone Viral

In a case of celebrity right-to-privacy versus what makes something newsworthy, former wrestler Hulk Hogan is suing Gawker Media for $100 million over the publication of a sex tape. The case is being tried in St. Petersburg courtroom in front of a jury and is raising questions about First Amendment rights in the age of the Internet, and the future of Gawker. In another case involving unwanted video, ESPN Sportscaster Erin Andrews was awarded $55 million by a jury after a stalker secretly taped her through a peephole at a Nashville Marriott hotel.
