Midterm Election Spending and Turnout

Hosted by

Californians go to the polls tomorrow to elect candidates in a host of statewide and local campaigns that could have some big ramifications down the road. The latest polls show Democrats in those statewide offices are likely to prevail, as they have in the last several cycles. But there could also be a few surprises as well. Nationwide, Democrats aren’t likely to fare near as well, with the latest polls showing there’s a good chance Republicans will take control of the Senate. And nothing says ‘it’s an important election’ like hundreds of millions of dollars spent – surprisingly – in midterm races. Kevin Roderick joins KCRW's Steve Chiotakis for this week’s LA Observed.
