How New Supe Don Wagner Will Affect Orange County

Hosted by

Last Tuesday, Irvine Mayor Don Wagner handily won a special election for an open seat on the Orange County Board of Supervisors. His victory put a damper on Democratic hopes to continue their 2018 blue wave and ensures a Republican majority on the board for at least four more years. The former state assemblymember and community college trustee brings with him a track record of opposing efforts to establish homeless shelters in South Orange County and voting to clamp down on people who aren't related from living together in Irvine. Homelessness and lack of affordable housing, of course, are two huge issues in OC, so how will Wagner affect the board's response to them?
