How OC's Elections May Change California

Hosted by

Tomorrow is Election Day, and Orange County voters will go to the polls for various ballot measures, school bonds, and city council members. But two races are drawing the attention of Republicans and Democrats statewide. In the 65th Assembly District, which covers most of North Orange County, incumbent Sharon Quirk-Silva faces off against Republican challenger Young Kim, while OC Supervisor Janet Nguyen is fighting against former assemblymember Jose Solorio for the vacant 34th State Senate seat, which encompasses Little Saigon and Santa Ana. If the GOP candidates win, the Democrats' super-majority in Sacramento in both houses gets broken; if the Dems win, it further solidifies the Democratic advantages in North and Central County. Who wins?
