John Wayne Airport Welcomes Uber, Lyft, et al.

Last week, the Orange County Board of Supervisors unanimously passed a resolution that will allow ride-share apps like Uber and Lyft to pick up passengers from John Wayne Airport. This makes John Wayne among the first in Southern California to wholeheartedly accept such drivers, which taxi cab companies across the state have long criticized for not being registered. Of course, Orange County being Orange County, the supervisors hailed their decision as a victory for liberty and free enterprise — but do critics have a point?
