OC's Hottest Political Races of 2014

Hosted by

Although this year's general elections are months away, Democrats and Republicans alike in Orange County are gearing for important races that can change the political landscape for years to come. In North OC, Sharon Quirk-Silva will face the wrath of the GOP as they seek to overturn her surprise victory in 2012 in the 34th Assembly District. In Anaheim, activists continue to push for district-based voting, which would radically alter the City Council and also influence the mayoral race. And in 34th State Senate District, it looks like former state assemblyman and Santa Ana council member Jose Solorio will face off against current OC Supervisor Janet Nguyen. Let the fireworks begin!
