KCRW Presents First Fridays: Neon Indian and Peanut Butter Wolf Announced for June

Written by

The line up for the last First Fridays of the 2010 season has been announced and it’s a good one – Neon Indian and Peanut Butter Wolf. The series has gone from indie rock to funk to folk and now we’re closing it down with a dance party on June 4, 2010 at the Natural History Museum. DJ duo Classixx will be there in the DJ lounge as well!

Swedish folk singer Kristian Mattson aka The Tallest Man on Earth has a raspy voice that has led to comparisons to a young Bob Dylan. He draws on old blues and folk masters to create his own haunting, intimate songs. We’ll host him on Morning Becomes Eclectic for a live performance and interview earlier that morning on Friday, May 7 so you can get a sneak preview for the evening’s festivities.
