Tricky

Tricky, the man credited with launching the -trip-hop- style of music, is this week-s guest on Ground Zero. While eschewing the label that brought him notoriety, his new album Blowback is an edgy blend of dancehall, rap, pop and metal. With help from the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Ed Kowalczyk of Live, and Alanis Morissette, Tricky has delivered one of the year-s most exciting new releases. He shares an unreleased version of an album track featuring Alanis Morissette, explains how a key song from his seminal Maxinquaye album provided a window to making Blowback, and spills the beans on which artists he wants to work with on his next record.
